Facts

Ever since I learned how to read I've never been caught without a book close at hand. I have several books by my bedside, in the car, at my office, etc. I've also been known to pack light when I travel so any extra suitcase room will be used for book purchases, and I can't pass up a book sale - ever.

I have fallen in love with writers, characters, and even book covers. I have five library cards, spend most of my free time at the bookstore and belong to several book groups. I'm a BookGirl.

I remember the day when my mom took me to a bookstore and told me I could pick out any book I wanted. That's when I discovered the power and beauty of the written word. Books have moved me to tears, to think, to love and to act.

One day I'd like to write a book - something big, something incredible. I write poetry and I have notebooks of thoughts and ramblings scattered throughout my house. And, when I'm not writing, I'm always sharing my thoughts about books with my husband, friends, or anyone who will listen to me.
